Summer Reading Enrichment English – 2008-2009 Dear Parents and Students,
All students are expected to participate in our summer enrichment program. All of the books can be accessed at public, school, or college libraries, as well as purchased online or local book stores.
DIRECTIONS FOR STUDENTS: A. Read the book for the grade you will be in for the 2008-2009 school year. B. For your respective grade level reading: Make a dialectical journal using 5 quotes to support each of the following: characterization, setting, plot development, and theme. PLEASE NOTE: This assignment will be collected during your first meeting session with your English teacher and be graded as part of your first quarter grade (See example below). |
