Students in the Construction Management program acquire the necessary skills and practical experience to be successful in a career in the construction industry.  Construction management skills include accounting and leadership.  
An emphasis on carpentry skills includes training in:
commercial and residential framing, flooring and roofing systems, and other basic and advanced carpentry skills. Students will also learn basic electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and estimating skills.

A school-to-work component may be available in the senior year. students who successfully complete the program are eligible for advanced placement in a first-year apprenticeship in the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Apprentice Program.  They may also be eligible for advanced placement and/or testing opportunities through other union or non-union apprenticeship programs and National Craft Assessment and Certification (NCCER).

Upon graduation, students can enter employment, complete journeyperson apprenticeship, and/or earn a degree at a two or four-year college.  Long-term opportunities may include management positions of foreman, job superintendent, project manager, or owner-operator of a business.


**Articulated college credit may be earned from the Community College of Baltimore County**

**Students may earn a minimum of four MSDE Career & Technology (CTE) credits for graduation**


**Applications are accepted for grades 9 and 10**

Transportation will be provided for students who are zoned for the Northwest and Southwest areas.
